  1. I wanted to like this game more than anything, as Ive been disapointed with the WII’s Motions controls ever since it came out.. Well that hasnt changed.

All that seems to have changed with the New Motion Control is Fade.

You have little control over power, the swing gauge come up after you swing? It only puts a percentage (%) on screen and that’s it.

Sure you hit as hard as you can on TEE OFF, but its when you get close to a hole or putting is where it has no accuracy what so ever, pops up like 72% your supposed to hit..? How?. You have no way of knowing.

You can hit it soft or hard it makes no difference on the distance. I don’t know how many times on the Green I was 10 yards away from hole and it went 25 yards past the hole, or the ball went 2 feet using the exact same swing.

Expect frequent over shots over the holes and under shots as well.

Mini games are ok if your playing with someone because they have to play with the same poor, inconsistant control scheme as you which makes it even.

Frisbee game, you throw it hard it goes 90 yards, throw it soft it goes 148 yards?? Throw it real soft and it fall at your feet. Poor quality.

Its fun to be able to swing your arms like a real golf club, but when your in a tournament and one hole you get par the other your 8 over and have to start over again it gets disappointing and annoying.

    Gimicky!

I can’t even get to the review of the product… that will be for my husband to do once he plays the game. But I just received this in the mail and was horrified. It looked like the package had been through a trash compactor. Amazon used to box things up and protect your purchase to a ridiculous degree sometimes. Now, I guess they’re cutting corners just like everyone else. And, now, I have to give my husband his father’s day gift in a ratty, torn up, shabby, crushed box. “Here honey, here’s your crappy gift!’

I should have just bought this one from the store. It would have been worth the time and trouble. And, I would have least got it in one piece. Besides, it’s not like you’re saving any money buying from Amazon.

  3. The Wii Plus addition to tiger wood 10, doesn’t add enough to the game to warrant a new purchase. Despite the claims you will hear, you still only have 3 basic swings: you either swing at 100% at 15% or 50%. The abililty to rotate you club head through the swing works well though.

The lack of other titles that support the wii plus also put a damper on this purchase.

Bought it for Father’s Day. Played it a few times. Still like the Wii golf better. I’m sure we’re just neophytes and if we had more time to play we’d appreciate the nuances but for now…. too much money, not as great as the press and promos…

The game itself is nothing special. The graphics are not crisp. There seem to be glitches where you hit a shot from the fairway and the hole ends and it says you got par. This does not occur often but it has happened to me before. The career mode is tediously long. Even when you turn on speed mode you still have to sit through celebrations and when playing in a match play tournament this becomes even more annoying because you have to sit and watch the computer make its swing and celebrate afterwards. The only part speeded up is the flight of the ball, which is taken out all together when you press a. You have to be extremely patient to play this game. It’s a good buy though because you get the wii motion plus with it. I wouldn’t buy this expecting much from the game itself.
