The picture on the tv from this power supply is shakey. It is obvious from the light weight that there aren't many components inside this item and there clearly is no form of power filter as you can see the fluctuations on the screen. Grandson mistakably hooked-up the wii and did not use the power transformer to step-down the power. Consequently, the power adapter was fried!! We were very disappointed that we did not get to use the wii while I was there. Three weeks ago, I decided to order a new power adapter and take a chance on "mailing" it instead of waiting for my next visit. My grandchildren received the replacement cord and they and their parents are really ENJOYING the wii. My younger granddaughter is "knocking out" her older brother wii-boxing! This item is a must if you live where there's no 110 volt current. Much nicer to just plug in the wall than running the wii through a voltage transformer.
