What a breakthrough product! You plug one end into your Wii and the other into a wall outlet and it, somehow, makes the Wii turn on! I’m not technical enough to explain how this product works but boy does it! It seems to know I am coming and provide power right as I push the button- every time! After months of trying to find where the batteries go on our Wii this product was a revelation! Our enjoyment of the Wii skyrocketed once we could actually turn it on. I think your family will love it, too!

Buy your Wii in the U.S. and you’ll get a large 120V-input power supply. Buy your Wii in Europe, and you’ll get a large 220/210V power supply. Buy this, you’ll get a smaller, lighter power supply that can effortlessly be used in both places. The proprietary Nintendo Wii connnector fits perfectly. The power supply cord that was provided is for U.S. use, but that’s easily and cheaply adapted (prongs to posts) OR the power supply cord can easily be replaced with standard European power supply cords. I used an old radio or camcorder supply cord and it fit the power supply unit perfectly. Great product and engineering for versatile use.

Brought this overseas with me from the US (I’m living in Denmark). Product worked for three days until it fried out. Got a local cable and the Wii worked fine so it was definitely the cable. From now on I’m only going to use “official” Nintendo products.

i ordered DreamGear Wii AC adapter and i got an wii AC adapter of an unnamed vendor.
basically it works fine with no problems – i was just disappointed that i didn’t get the specific product i ordered
